A 20-minute jaunt from Dartmouth, along Highway 107, brings you directly into the scenic village of Musquodoboit Harbour. LazyTide is a short stroll to/from the community, where more delights await: restaurants, fresh seafood dine-in/take-out, train museum, art galleries, gift shops, mouth-watering bakery/cafe with WIFI, pharmacy, bank, library, fully-equipped residence, with air conditioning and high speed internet.
The entire residence envelopes an abundance of bright natural light. Roiling sea storms only enhance the viewing pleasure. Aside from the obvious delights that are availed throughout the warmer months, our guests might well-imagine a ‘get-away’ Christmas or a wintertime escape, tucked within the warm ambiance, full-home conveniences and affordability that LazyTide offers.

LazyTide is a charming seaside cottage that can host three guests, plus an RV with electrical hook-up on the same property (for an additional charge). LazyTide allows you to experience the natural beauty and serenity of Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore. You can inhale the fresh ocean breeze, swim in the gentle cove, kayak among the islands and inlets, fish from the docks, bike, hike and ATV on endless trails, surf and boogie-board on the nearby Martinique Beach… and even launch your own boat from the private ramp.
About The Space
LazyTide is a coastal property located in the north-west cove of Petpeswick Inlet.
It has a rich history of being a clam factory in the early 1900s and a dance hall in the fifties.
Since then, LazyTide has been mostly unused – until now!
Welcome to LazyTide, an ocean-front vacation home with two bedrooms and modern amenities. LazyTide is located in Musquodoboit Harbour, a scenic village on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia, where you can enjoy fresh seafood, local art, historic sites and more. LazyTide is also close to Martinique Beach, the longest white-sand beach in the province and a popular spot for surfing. Whether you want to relax by the water, explore the trails and parks, or experience the culture and history of the area, LazyTide is your ideal getaway destination for all seasons.
The LazyTide vacation property is a new and modern oceanfront home that offers a relaxing and comfortable stay for guests. It has a private boat launch, a kayak, bicycles, and a BBQ for guests to enjoy the scenic harbour and the nearby attractions. Guests can also watch the sunset from the observation deck, roast marshmallows by the fire pit, or swim in the warm harbour waters. For an additional charge, the property also has two RV lots with electrical hook-up for guests who want to bring along friends with a RV. The LazyTide is located close to restaurants, white sand beaches, surfing spots, and fishing wharfs. It is a great place for a staycation or a work-from-home alternative.
LazyTide is not just a summer cottage. It is a modern and cozy residence that you can enjoy all year round. It has air conditioning, high speed internet, and a stunning view of the ocean. Whether you want to relax on the beach, watch the storms, or celebrate the holidays, LazyTide has everything you need.

Petpeswick Inlet
The community was settled in the 1780s mainly by Loyalists. Through the late 18th and early 19th centuries many settlers from Scotland, England and Germany immigrated to the area and they still have descendants in the area, evidenced by prominent family names such as Tibbo, Rowlings, Anderson, Gaetz, and Bayers.
Local History
Musquodoboit Harbour is a rural community in the eastern shore region of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is situated at the mouth of the Musquodoboit River, where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The name Musquodoboit comes from the Mi’kmaq
language and means “rolling out in foam”. The first European settlers arrived in the late 1700s, mostly from Scotland and Ireland. Today, Musquodoboit Harbour is a scenic and historic place that attracts visitors and tourists.
It offers a variety of attractions and activities, such as museums, trails, beaches, parks, festivals and events. Musquodoboit Harbour is proud of its local history and heritage, which reflects the diversity and resilience of its
people.

Musquodoboit Harbour Railway Museum
The Museum in Musquodoboit Harbour is a historical attraction that showcases the railway heritage of the area. The building was once a station for the Intercolonial and Canadian National Railway, built in 1918. It is located in the heart of the village, where visitors can explore the exhibits and artifacts.

Memory Lane Heritage Village
Memory Lane Heritage Village is a living history museum that recreates the rural life of Nova Scotia in the 1940s. You can experience how people lived and worked during and after World War II. The museum has won many awards for its authentic and engaging exhibits.

The Old Anderson House
The Old Anderson House Craft Shop & Gallery was a historic building that dated back to before 1861. It became a shop in 1980, where crafters and volunteers showcased their art and craft. Sadly, as of 2023, it is listed as Permanently closed on google.
